Professional WordPress Blog Design Services

I have had a lot of fun learning the inner workings of WordPress as well as learning how to make WordPress Themes. Over the past year I have landed quite a few jobs for providing customers with their very own professionally designed WordPress blog design, or as most bloggers call it, professional or premium WordPress Themes.

In this article I want to showcase some of my work and allow everyone to marvel and say, ahhh…. so pretty! (Joking) But I do want to show off some of the past work and also provide a follow up service to my previous clients and send them some traffic. (So be sure to check out these sites!)

MasonWorld.com – This design is brand new, still has the price tag on it. Mark Mason hired me to redesign his blog and get him hooked up with a very professional, clean and free flowing WordPress theme. He told me that he really enjoyed my previous work and wanted something that followed suit but a little more customized to his taste. The result was amazing! Both Mark as well as myself are extremely pleased with the final product.

Mark Mason is a very gifted and talented individual. He works as an engineer at Texas Instruments. (I bartered and asked for a calculator when we were negotiating our contract to do the web design work!) By nature Mark is very smart with many things and it seems almost predictable that he would have such an interest in Internet Marketing.

His blog is very straight forward and simple. He’s on a journey to learn more about Internet marketing and his personal blog is used to record his personal accounts within his venture. Readers and site visitors are welcomed to follow and learn along the way. Mark is very keen on developing what he calls, Niche Super Sites. You should check that out and learn more.

ClarksvilleHomeInspection.com – This site is owned by a long time family friend of over 20 years. The owner is John Goad and the site promotes his very successful and high quality business called, Clarksville Home Inspection. John turned to me for advice a year ago and explained to me that he wanted to gain a presence on the Internet. Little did he know that just after one year, not only would he have a presence but he would totally knock out the competition by providing amazing services on his web site.

clarksville-home-inspectionJohn Goad is an amazing individual. He is one of the most detail minded people I know, and that says a lot because I know a bunch of detail minded people. Taking the number one spot for that is huge! If you ever get a home inspection done by him, then you’ll find out quite a bit about your home. I wouldn’t put it past Johnny to count and make a record of every single nail and screw used on the homes he inspects.

John provides a very unique service on his web site. He offers a free service called, Ask A Home Inspector, which gives readers, visitors and potential customers an open channel to speak directly with him regarding questions related to their homes. From there he accepts, answered and publishes the material live on his blog so that others can read and learn.

clarksville-home-inspection

In addition to the Ask A Home Inspector service we started an additional service on his web site that allows users to see examples of his findings during real home inspections. We use FlickR to upload the pictures and stream the pictures live on his web site via RSS syndication. You can find many articles on his home inspection blog that will help you learn more about your home and things to look for regarding the health of your home.

clarksville-home-inspection-shot

There is no other home inspection web site on the Internet like Clarksville Home Inspection. This web site is very ahead of the times. In fact, we will soon be adding a YouTube channel where users can easily view videos snippet examples of his findings during a home inspection.

the-television-show-blog

The Television Show Blog – This is a brand new blog, still undergoing design work. I recently purchased this domain name a few months ago, predicting that there would be a huge surge in television show press once the writer strikes ended.

In my opinion, television shows are a very “Hot Topic” to blog about. If you have the right name, branding and content, you’ll go very far in the business of blogging.

The Television Show Blog will be underway in a few weeks. Recently I have found a writer for this wonderful writing project. Her name will be unveiled when I offer the official press release of The Television Show Blog, which again will be in a week to three.

Clarksville Pilots – This is a very simple WordPress Blog that I designed for my son’s local travel ball baseball team.

The Airplane Blog – This is becoming a pioneer blog in the aircraft and aviation niche. The Airplane Blog is owned by me and is a place where I can have tons of fun blogging about the latest news in airplanes, aviation and aircraft for sale.

Garry — I could not be happier with the work you did for me. The best thing was that you took the time to help me understand what I needed and how everything worked. You are far and away the best “web developer” that I have ever worked with.

What took me by surprise was your “triple threat”: Internet Marketing, Web Design/PHP/Graphics and Customer Service.

It would be my pleasure to correspond directly with any of your potential clients. I would recommend you without reservation.

Thanks! Mark

I have been working with you for almost a year now and I must say your designs are at the top of the list. Every time I think you hit a peak you go a little further to expand and improve a design.

The real key is that you know the inside work as well as the designs that everyone sees.

I would highly recommend you to anyone looking for help.

The Airplane Blog is still my favorite, what a fantastic design !!

And thanks for all the help you have given me.

Excellent work. I always enjoy looking at the clean look and feel of your blogs. One day I may have to ask you to help me out with one of mine!

Hey Garry,

I think you’ve done an outstanding job on the blogs mentioned in this post. You’ve helped design a couple of my blogs, and I couldn’t be happier. You have a knack for making a “nice” into an “incredible” blog.

I so appreciate all the work you’ve done on my sites, and would recommend you to anyone who needed a professional designer. Thank you so much and keep up the awesome work.

Garry is simply amazing when it comes to design. I think it goes without saying just how important clean design is both for appearance and the technical aspects of page loading. Garry is someone who understands both throughly. I am always amazed at how fast Garry can come back with a great answer when I have a question about style sheets or coding.

I am looking forward to seeing your future designs and work.

Garry continues to exceed expectations & go above & beyond in every area of service. His thinking outside of the box has him at the cutting edge of internet marketing.
With Garry the potential is truly unlimited!

Hi Garry! I have been checking out your designs and I must say they are spectacular! You definitely have your own style in each which gives your work distinction – especially in the area of functionality and cleanliness. When I’m ready for a professional design for myself or for anyone I know, I will come to you. Keep up the great work!

Gary, it has a been a pleasure knowing you and I have no doubt that you will extend yourself to please clients no matter what.

Best of luck.

Garry, you’re a man that takes a lot of risks in life, but you always succeed at what you do. If I tried to become you, I would probably fail. You set your mind to every single thing you do and I’ve noticed that in such little amount of time. I also like how you design your blogs/sites with a more unique layout/theme rather than using a free theme or having a similar style of others. That is a PLUS!

-Mike

Garry you have some great design skills. Everything you design has a certain ‘Garry Conn’ style to it, which is great. I’m very happy with the header you designed for Blogging Fingers and good luck with your new design service!

11 Ryan Shamus { 03.15.08 at 7:03 am }

Garry, you have a great eye for detail and Im very impressed with your designs, blogs, and graphics! I usually hire people for my own website graphics, but you are lucky enough to be able to design yours, yourself!

Your doing a great job and I know your design business will be a success.

Good luck!

12 Owen { 03.15.08 at 8:52 am }

I really like your designs but this is not the part that impresses me the most. Most designers seem to design for look where as you design with looks, usability and search engines in mind. I am very interested in getting pricing information from you.

- Owen.

Garry,

even if i haven’t met you personally (you live in USA while i live in Italy) i must admit that i admire you: your designs have a clear focus on usability, and the content is always prominent and clear for the users.

Also, you are a true and sincere blogger, i like your newsletter and i always wait with impatience the next post of yours.

Respectfully,
- Nicola

Garry,

I’m really pleased to see the work you’ve been doing with theme design. You made my CouponSaver site look much classier and I’m very happy with the results.

Just a couple of comments on the designs above:
While they are all very nice, the Clarkesville Home Inspection site was so well laid-out that I realized I needed to subscribe to the valuable info offered, even though I’d never seen the site before. And the Airplane Blog is so GLAMOROUS that it reminds me of when I lived and worked in Beverly Hills. I HATE flying anywhere now, but this blog made me realize that it wasn’t flying I hated, it was commercial flying I hated. Gotta save up for a plane and a pilot. TeeHee!

Seriously, what I think is so wonderful about your web designs is that, not only are they attractive but you know how to put all the behind-the-scenes tags and stuff in place to make the site successful.

Way to go!
Brennan

Hi Garry,

I spent 9 years as a print designer / artworker. I reached a high level and became a freelance specilaizing in many areas and in constant work. Then I decided I didn’t want to do it anymore. I still love design and everything it brings but want to be a blogger / internet marketer etc etc. I have had trouble bringing my skills to the web, where people interact and things move around. I just can’t get anything to look how I want it!

Your skills are great in this area and you inspire me daily witth visual design and even to the level of the layout of your writing style. For example in this post… you introduced the service, enticed people and then stepped through the door as the face of the great things people had just read about. Awesome and endeering.

I hope this post brings you a lot more work. Maybe when I am earning a little more we can discuss a redesign for some of my projects, I am still doing the graphics though :) , My personal pride will not allow me to sub such things out to others!

Garry,

Nice looking themes.

Anyone looking to have a theme designed should not hesitate to hire you. You create clean, great looking themes, and you are one of the hardest working bloggers I have seen.

Garry, all the best with your design business. I am sure it will do well.

17 K-IntheHouse { 03.16.08 at 7:56 am }

Garry.. as Owen mentioned I am usually impressed by your eye for detail and making a website a search engine magnet. I have been reading your blog for more than a year and if I am getting a decent traffic (15K+ page views a month) now, I will attribute a lot to following your advice and learning from you. And you are always available and I don’t know how you do it! Your locals are really lucky to have someone like you to develop their business.

Cheers!

Garry Conn dot com could just as easily have been “Garry Can Do”! *** The old adage, “You never get a second chance to make a first impression” is evident in everything that Garry Conn does. There are millions of websites coming on-line every day. Garry Conn knows how to visually attract, and make an immediate point that will draw casual passers by in.

Congratulations Garry on another great idea, and we all are very lucky to have you among us.

People who knows me and partecipate also in Garrys forum for bloggers know how much i like Garry’s themes. The reason is very simple: they are very effective and very simple, where “simple” is a compiment, as long as I mean that they are so clear: everything is at the right place and the whole page looks great !

Garry, there aren’t many bloggers I can say this about, but you have something going on here that sets you apart from other bloggers. Your ideas are never-ending and fresh. You try something, improve upon it or decide it’s not the way to go and create something else all together.

On the surface, we come here asking, “What’s Garry up to?”. But when you get right down to it, what we’re really asking is, “What can I try that Garry’s doing?”

Your subscriptions are another indicator of your success. Many bloggers (myself included) can only hope to get a fraction of those numbers, not to mention your traffic as well. But again, I think that’s one of the things your growing community here enjoys about your blog. They come here to learn; they leave a little smarter.

Garry Conn is a true Wordpress master – some of the things I’ve seen him do with this platform is amazing!

He has definite design style which is very distinct and recognisable – his sites look great and work well on a usability level too!

Garry knows his stuff and is always trying out new things to push the limits of his design skills. I would definitely recommend him as someone who can develop and design a great Wordpress blog!
