Read The Blogs of The Companies That Make You Money
The way I see it, your blog can never make too much money. Unfortunately, how I see it and what is really happening are two different things. People are not making hardly any money at all. While there are many people who claim that their blog is making money online, in reality it’s not.
At any rate, whether your blog is not making money, only making a little bit of money or making so much money its beginning to make you silly… you can make even more money simply be reading the blogs from the companies that you participate in. Here are a few blogs that I read.
Read The ClickBank Blog
If you are an active ClickBank affiliate or ClickBank publisher and need some tips about how to be successful with the program, get the information straight ClickBank by reading their ClickBank Blog. Here are a few post that I think you might like to read:
- Testing, Testing – While many people spend a lot of time early on building their Web site and getting everything exactly how they want it, they often neglect an important next step to success, which is testing. By testing, I mean consistently trying out new text, images, offers, and site layout.
- Generosity as Business Strategy – Affiliates are looking for products that sell to a specific niche, offer good quality and value for the consumer, convert well, and, last but not least, pay enough commission to earn the return on investment they require.
- The Next Google? – Combining the number two and three search sites together, though, might change some of the rules of the game, bring a new twist to the paid search marketplace, and make Google sweat a little. Who knows how that would impact searches – or pricing for keywords?
Pepperjam Blog
Pepperjam is a newer and exciting way to make money online by promoting an array of products and services on your blog. One of the great things about Pepperjam is that most all of the companies enrolled into their program invest time into uploading some really great graphics for you to use in promoting. Here are a few posts that I think you might like to read:
- Pepperjam Signs up eBay into Pepperjam Network – Want to make money online with eBay? Pepperjam just announced that they have successfully signed up eBay into their Pepperjam Network. Learn how you can join and discover how much money you can make by promoting eBay on your blog.
- How Big Is Pepperjam? – Does my being invited to deliver a keynote in another country say something about the power of the Pepperjam brand? I think so. People outside of the United States look to us (companies in the US) to understand the internet marketing.
- Pepperjam Network Launches “Meet the Affiliates” Interview Series – I am proud to announce that Pepperjam Network (Pepperjam’s fast growing affiliate marketing network) launched today a weekly interview series called “Meet the Affiliates.” Each week a new affiliate will be interviewed, which will be posted to the Pepperjam Blog.
Google AdSense Blog
Google AdSense still to this day is my #1 money maker on the Internet. While I have been investing time into building other income avenues, Google AdSense remains #1. To learn more about Google AdSense and really powerful insider tips, all you have to do is read Google’s official blog for AdSense. Here are a few posts that I think you might like to read:
- Another Look At Optimizations – it’s important to consider how your ad implementations affect not only your click-through rate, but your users’ and advertisers’ experience as well. To support this, we’d like to remind you of the following two guidelines when optimizing your site.
- New and improved referrals resources – If you’ve been looking for ways to improve your referral earnings, we’re excited to introduce you to a few new resources. First is our updated referrals optimization tips page, where you can find our top suggestions for selecting referral products and how to best promote them on your site.
- Before you apply to AdSense – Getting started with AdSense is easy, but when reviewing the applications we get, we’ve noticed a few common pitfalls. To help make sure your application is approved the first time around, ask yourself the following questions below before submitting.
Aweber Blog
I absolutely love Aweber’s email newsletter and subscription management program. With that being said, there is quite a bit you can do with a mailing list and even more if you use Aweber. Here are a few posts that I think you’ll be interested in reading:
- 3 Tips For More Clicks and Website Traffic – If your site uses a navigation bar, most likely every page of your website contains those links in a predictable place, allowing visitors to select from at least a few things that might catch their interest, so why not experiment with adding them to your email newsletter?
- Do Buttons Get Clicked More Than Text Links? -One of the ideas that came up was to replace the text links that we had been using to drive people to the blog with a “button.” Previous testing on the website had shown that in many cases, buttons make better calls to action than text links do. We thought the same might hold true for email.
- 3 Tips to Optimize Your Email Landing Pages – If the goal of our email is not only to drive traffic to our websites but ultimately to convert that traffic into sales, our websites need to do their jobs too. Email tracking and analytics let us know how our emails are performing.
If you want to make money online or improve on the effectiveness of how you are already making money online, I strongly recommend that you get the information straight from the horses mouth. Reading the official blogs of the companies that are cutting your checks is very important. Not only will you learn more about how to improve on being more effective with their program, but you too will also build relationships with the company as well as other readers within their blog community.

Gary, this is a great tip. Too often I overlook these blogs. I have most of them set up on email rss, but I never read them. There is always some very good and very helpful information in them, but if you don’t take the time to read them…..it’s not going to help you (me)!
I spend hours brainstorming and writing, but tend to forget that I need to keep educating myself. These are certainly good blogs for that.
Thanks!

I like the article from Aweber about the button vs. text link. I never would have thought the results would turn out that way. Good information to keep in mind. Thanks, Garry!
I really do enjoy reading this blogs. I too need to practice more of what I preach. I am subscribed to all these blogs listed, but from time to time I get behind schedule and don’t read everyday. I really should though, especially the Aweber blog… that blog is packed full of amazing tips.
You are welcome… The Aweber blog is quickly climbing the ranks of being coming one of my personal favorites. The information in that blog is amazing.
This is a brilliant idea! I never really thought of that, I’ll be adding their feeds today.
Thanks for the headsup!
Barbara
