Some of the Simplest Things Make Money Online
In order to make money online, a lot of people think that they need to have some absolute amazing plan or product that takes a rocket scientist to create or produce. While some things are indeed complicated, it really doesn’t take a lot to push your ideas into the realm of reality.
Ever since I purchased my Blackberry Curve, I have been looking around for various solutions towards making not only my site, but my content more accessible and visible to mobile users. Along the way I ran into a site called www.feedm8.com and while there is really nothing all that special with the site, their idea is pretty cool.
Feedm8.com provides a way for bloggers to syndicate their content in a way that looks pretty for mobile users. The content even goes inside a cell phone shell for regular readers. It’s pretty cool. However, the part that caught my eye was the “Sponsored Link” that goes in between a few of my posts in Feedm8.com.

While doing sponsored links and such isn’t a new technology, many people try to reinvent the wheel and make programs like this more and more complicated. It’s an advertisement. There isn’t really anything “Smart” about. It’s an ad and it need to be in a position where people can see it and it needs to be relevant to the content being viewed.
I think it was just last week how I should you how you can easily make money online using Google AdSense for Mobile Content. Today I see this. How difficult would it be to program something like this? Even if you don’t know how to program, how much money would it be to hire a programmer to make something like this?
Do you see where I am going with this? www.feedm8.com developed a very basic but very functional script, they have lightly monetized it, and they are now in a position to make money online off your syndicated content. Here is the kicker…. you’re even going to promote them for free on your blog. Why, because you want to provide something nice for your mobile readers. Well, that is at least what a lot of people will do.
So what is to learn here? Again, what I constantly reminded of as I run across small little discoveries such as FeedM8.com is why try to reinvent the wheel? Just learn how to make that wheel faster! Another thing I learned is the fact that sometimes less is really more. Oh, and that it not be a bad idea to learn PHP programming and other programming languages.

Nice find and nice tip you got on this one. I agree, it’s the simple things that tend to go viral, something just like this. Bloggers wouldn’t think twice about putting a button or link on their site promoting their mobile content. Meanwhile, the owner of the network is slipping in ads, in order to keep the service free….and making a nice chunk of pocket change in the process.
Garry, i enjoyed reading your post, although I did not think it was entirely the best approach … there are alternatives which would provide more positive results
great post garry
do you maybe know how many site in % have their content optimized for mobile phones
