Submit Your Site To Bing.com

Watch out Google.com, Microsoft just launched a new search engine called Bing.com. For blog authors and site owners, you may be interested in learning how to submit your site to Bing.com. Ironically, there hasn’t been too much buzz about this new search engine. Instead, many bloggers, publishers, and site owners have been wondering why they have been getting traffic from this strange new search engine. If you would like to get your site listed, doing so in Bing.com seems to be pretty easy.

Just like Google Webmaster Tools, Bing also has their own Bing Webmaster Central. Submitting your site into bing isn’t much different than submitting your site into Google. Simply create an account and log into your webmasters dashboard and register your site. If you are already getting some traffic from Bing.com, then obviously you’re already listed. Google has now included Bing.com into Analytics and that is probably one of the main reasons why many publishers are discovering Bing.com rather than discovering via press release, promotional advertisement, etc. Do you think Bing.com has any chance at beating Google.com?

I’ve been noticing bing for some time especially when I made an error on a web address, it just redirects me to bing, the thing with google is that it is a search engine with so much superiority, but you never can tell, anything happens on the search engine these days

I don’t think Bing.com is any threat to Google.com. I think Bing.com looks great, but people don’t just want a search engine. They want email, tools, and everything you can think of all from one place. Now some may challenge this and claim that Microsoft already has all that and more, but Microsoft doesn’t seem to integrate everything together as well as Google does.

With Google, everything is seamless, you can jump to Gmail, Google Docs, or quickly do a search. Your web history is tracked, making it easier to find things that you searched for two weeks ago, or two years ago. With these features and more, I don’t think Google has anything to worry about for a long time. Even if there was an emerging company, why would people switch if the new company could only MATCH what Google has already done for years. Someone is going to have to be BETTER than Google, and I just don’t see that happening.

I still use Google for my searches, but I LOOOOOVE Bing. Ok, I only love Bing because Bing loves my sites, but, yanno, not all love is selfless.

It’s too soon to see if it’ll be a good search engine. It looks suspiciously like Live.com which also loved my sites, but now all the traffic that came from live is coming from Bing.com. So, right now, it looks more as if people switched from one MSN search engine to another. And worse, Analytics tracks half of my Bing hits as “referral” and the other half as “organic”. And anything Google sees as a social click is not going to be making my wallet as happy.

If it’s still around in, say, 3 months, we’ll find out if it’s good enough to beat Google’s algorithm, or if it’s just a dressed up MSN search. You never know, it seems to be a soft release anyway, and they may be trying to get search reactions to see how they should tweak their own algorithm.

I do not know if it is going to be around in 3 or 4 years but for now I like as much net property as I can get for my products and services.

I’m a big Google fan but I also like the new Bing. I agree with WordVixen in that my sites rank a little better in Bing.

I also noticed that Analytics tracks half of my Bing hits as “referral”. Does anyone know why?

Bada Bing – I am getting more and more traffic from this search engine. I cannot complain…Bring it on!

Bing isn’t going to last. We see this “hype” about all search engines. I mean look at Viewzi and Cuil. You don’t hear much about them anymore.

I’m afraid Bing is going to be another Microsoft failure. I don’t know why they even try to beat Google. Even though, they’ve passed Yahoo in the search engines ranking I don’t think it will last.

Cuil… what is Cuil, isn’t that supposed to be that really COOL search engine… ROFL!!!!

Bing will not outdo, Google but you know they will try.

Don’t forget guys. Microsoft is investing $100 million into this and going the TV route to promote it.

The reason why Analytics is showing BING as referral is because they have not updated it as a search engine.

Of course, I am skeptical myself that BING will beat Google, but that was said of Google too back when they started isn’t it?

Where is Yahoo today?

Wow, seems like Microsoft’s $8 million in marketing is working since everyone is talking about it :) I wonder why bloggers didn’t talk about their “LIVE.COM CASHBACK” that got people buying like crazy :D

I don’t think Bing will beat Google but that is not their intention. They just want a bigger piece of the piece, not necessarily the whole pie — which is where Google is headed.
So far I’ve been using Bing, and I’ve been providing them with bits and pieces of advice/feedback. I hope they at least look at my suggestions; I don’t expect them to implement them all, for other people have their own ideas.

Ironically, just as Google is king of search and to some extent video (YouTube), Yahoo is king of email and Answers, and Microsoft is king of Office and Windows.

True, there is Gmail, but I only know of a few people who use it. I tried Gmail and gave up; I prefer ad-infested Yahoo. I’m used to it.

Yes, there is GoogleDocs, but most of my colleagues don’t trust their data and files to an already voracious data gathering Google, and when the Internet connection goes down, there goes access to the cloud.

Of course, there is Yahoo search, but Google search is more comprehensive. On the other hand, I love Yahoo Answers; it is different than Googles old Answers program and so much more fun; Google Answers never worked for me: I don’t care if I don’t get expert advice, any free advice is okay by me.

Microsoft and Yahoo tried video, but YouTube does it best (Yes, I know that YouTube is not Google per se, but since it is owned by Google it still counts in my book.)

The same goes for Flickr. I love Flickr, but I can’t stand Picasa Web Albums (but I think SmugMug is the best.)

Each company is trying to make inroads into each others’ territory — where that company really shines — but these forays are overshadowed by the perceptions we have of each company.

I think I’ll have to head on over to Bing and start submitting my sites.

I gotta say Bing has got some good buzz about them and there tv ads are super as well could they take on google time will tell but I do think there is a place for them on the web.

I will say Microsoft has something going for them when they can build live.com & bing.com and do very well – I just wonder when they will make there 3rd site and mix them…

Can Bing.com beat out Google, HECK NO. And if they do its going to be a long long time from now; but I imagine Google will own the world by then. You know, a big sign sticking out of the globe, ‘Welcome To The World, Brought To You By Google”…lol

Seriously though, Bing.com is on the right track, much improvement over MSN search and Live.com Microsoft has thought this one through, just not sure who did the thinking ;)

Good luck Bing.com your gunna need it!
