Mattaw over at MoneyBites.com asked me if I would share this information about his new contest with my readers. I agreed for the fact that it provides a really great opportunity for people to win some money and some killer prizes. Many people feel like blog contests are cheesy; however, there are plenty of people who aren’t “Too Good” or have “Too Much Pride” to participate in these things to score some money or some awesome goods and services.
The contest is actually a quite good one. I have seen some really lame contests as well as well executed and planned ones in the past. This one isn’t too bad. Mattaw managed to round up over $800 in prices and people can participate for a chance to win for free.
Being quite honest, Mattaw is trying to get more traffic to his blog. And you know what? What is wrong with that? Nothing… he has put in a ton of time and energy into creating this contest so that he can gain some more traffic and increase his readership. That beats the many other common things people do towards trying to get traffic. (e.g. auto comment spam).
Some of the prices that are up for grabs are an exhibit hall pass at Affiliate Summit ($99 value), 1500 manual directory submissions ($175 value), three copies of OIOpublisher ($117) {{ Not sure what that is but it has a $117 dollar price tag on it.. LOL}}, a free website/blog review ($70 value), a free one hour consultation with a guru ($60 value) and quite a bit more.
How do you participate? Simple… the contest is geared towards helping Mattaw and the contest contributes gain more exposure. To participate you need to do simple things such as, subscribe to Mattaw’s blog or drop him a few comments, things like that.
