Make Money Online By Building Profitable Niche Blogs

Friday, October 31st, 2008

Lately I have been talking a lot about building niche blogs and even niche static web sites. As many of my original batch of readers know, I have a trusted friend in this business who I work with quite frequently. Over the last year and a half we have done quite a few really productive things together. During that same period of time, he has also shown me quite a bit of things that has helped me in my own ventures.

You read my blog mainly because you have a strong interest in learning how to make money online. I don’t think you read my blog to discover what color socks I wear or if I prefer Pepsi over Coke. So with that said, my friend, David Cooley, and I have teamed up to offer you an eBook and a WordPress theme that will help you with creating your own niche blogs.

The eBook is called CyberCoder’s WordPress Niche Guide. It is an eBook that is quick and to the point. You don’t have to worry about all the typical junk included in many other eBooks, you don’t have to worry about separating out promotional content from REAL content. This entire eBook, while being very short, is something that indeed will help you. As a bonus, included with this eBook is a copy of the actual CyberCoded Tag Niche Theme that I have personally been using for well over a month now. (more…)

Ask Me a Question, Get an Answer (Part I)

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

Ask me a question and get an answer. It’s as simple as that. Need some help with something, ask me a question. Want to know my opinion about something, ask me your question. Want to know if I like a certain make money online program better than another, ask me and find out. Do you want to know if I am really human or a machine, ask me and discover the truth.

Every once in awhile, I do a post like this where I allow everyone who reads it an opportunity to get a reaction from me based off the question they ask. I will answer as many questions as possible and avoid all the difficult ones. lol

Seriously though… if you need help, curious about something, or just want to know something stupid and off the wall such as, “Hey Garry, which do you like better… cats or dogs?” drop me a comment below and fire off your question. (more…)

My 30 Day Challenge - Keeping The Same Theme Plus a Few Others Goals

Saturday, October 25th, 2008

You don’t have to tell me, I already know… I am a strange person. When I have friends who jump on chat and tell me that they really liked the theme I had on my blog at 12 noon and then the other one at 5:00 pm but didn’t like the last one they saw at 7:00 pm, to me I guess that may be an indicator that I have WordPress Theme Addiction. Trust me folks, this is much worse than being addicted to crack! Although, I have never had issues with crack, the symptoms I hear can be kinda bad. With that said, I am going to break myself from this addiction and set myself FREE! lol

So anyway, WYSIWYG. Don’t tell me that you love the new theme, don’t tell me that you hate it. We are all just going to be quiet about it. I am challenging myself to NOT change my theme for 30 days. So once again, what you see is what you get. I hope you like it, but it doesn’t really matter because we ALL are stuck with it. Of course, if you don’t like it, you can subscribe to my RSS Feed. (which by the way is another goal in my 30 day challenge, we’ll talk about that in a minute)

It amazes me how fickle I am. Two nights I had buttons on my header and overall my theme looked like a freaking Halloween nightmare. Yet, I was pleased with the look. I woke up yesterday morning *late afternoon and I wanted to drop bricks on my head. “What were you thinking???” was the first thought that came to mind.

It was funny too, because last night when I was fixing my botched Halloween Theme nightmare job, I realized that in many ways things were much different when I wasn’t making money online. I wasn’t changing my theme (as often I should say) like I do currently because I kept myself pretty darn busy building and working on my niche blogs. Today, it’s a much different story. I can go weeks without having to do any actual work and I still make money.

Granted, when I do work, I am working towards continuing to grow my earnings. The more I work, the more I make. The less I work the more my earnings stay the same. So when you have that kind of pattern with income, it’s easy to get comfortable and satisfied with things as long as you make enough to live comfortably. With that said, my survival mode of motivation no longer drives me to work hard. This usually results in me branching off and doing odd things, such as using my personal blog as a big ass digital coloring book.

Goal #1 is to NOT change my theme for 30 days!

Now, let’s talk about goal #2, which this one should be much easier than the first. Last month I updated my FeedBurner address and did the 30 day 301 redirect to my new FeedBurner address. I have wanted to make this change for a long time, but dreaded doing so because deep down I knew that I would lose a lot of subscribers regardless of any proactive measures I could take. Sure enough, a month after I finally decided to change my FeedBurner address to my permanent URL, I lost close to 2000 subscribers.

Before I changed my FeedBurner URL, my subscribers were around 2,600. Today, they are now in the mid 600’s. I have no idea if it will bounce back up to what it used to be, but I kinda doubt it. Anyway, goal #2 is to get my subscribers back to 2600 within 30 days. That means I need to average around 68 new subscribers per day in order for this to happen. I am not sure how I can do this, but I will try. Even though I know what it will take to get my subscribers back to where they were before, I still think this will be easier than keeping myself from changing my theme. lol

Goal #2 is to increase my RSS subscribers to 2,600 in 30 days!

So there you have it. Now, who said I wasn’t goal orientated? Anyway, I hope that this was equally as therapeutic for you as it was for me. Drop me a comment with some encouraging or taunting words. Also, feel free to place some friendly bets on whether you think I can last the 30 days or not. ;)

The Niche Doctor WordPress Guide Is a Huge Success

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

I’ll be totally honest with you guys and gals who read my blog. I am not an Internet Marketer. By general definition, an Internet Marketer is a product pusher. It is an individual who actively promotes and tries to sell products on the Internet. The product is either of their own, or it is someone else’s. The bottom line is this: Internet Marketers are sales associates and if you can look at this with an open mind, they really aren’t much different than a typical car sales associate.

Some people who are in the car sales business are bad people, and then you have a few who are genuine and sincere. Regardless of their good or evil nature, their job is to sell. Make no mistake, If they fail, they lose their job and they don’t make money. The same is very true for Internet Marketers. With that said, I hope that you understand, I am not an Internet Marketer. Pushing and promoting products and services is not my job.

Having all that said, I want to talk to you again about a product that David Cooley and I have available. (we actually have two, but one is being overhauled slightly — more to come on that in the next day or so.) The product we have is called, The Niche Doctor WordPress Guide. We started selling it earlier this month and today was have had over $1000.00 in sales. While that might not seem like a lot to folks like Joel Comm or John Chow, it means a lot to David and I. With the success we have shared together in sales, we also have had a huge amount of success in overall customer satisfaction. In my opinion, that is an amazing success story.

Ultimately though, the key difference in this situation for me compared to an Internet Marketer, is that my life doesn’t depend on hitting these sales. Granted, I am making money and my partner is making money and we both feel very rewarded, but really our reward is in seeing how satisfied our customers have been with the product that we are selling. With that said, I know that David and I have quite a few more people who haven’t purchased The Niche Doctor WordPress Guide yet and I want to extend another explanation to you, assuming that you haven’t purchased it yet.

Make Money Online Building Niche Blogs PART TWO

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

A few days ago, I announced that I teamed up with David Cooley to provide you with a very cut and dry WordPress theme coupled with an very NON-BS eBook. The eBook gives you instructions on how to use this WordPress theme and offers some insight on the big picture David and I see with this whole concept of building niche blogs. It was mentioned a day ago in the comments that David was going to develop an online video to add into this package. For those who purchased the product from us and SUBSCRIBED to our newsletter, you should already have an email from us that gives you the URL to view this video.

This online video is excellent. I think David went beyond what was required with a $24.95 digital product. To begin with, the online video that he created is over 40 minutes in length. He created the video using Camtasia Studios, so the format of this video gives you a first person perspective. In this video you will watch David use our product to build a niche blog. In other words, he pushed the record button and reveals more strategy and shares more of his own personal tactics that I would have revealed. In my opinion, the video itself is worth $24.95. (more…)
