Will There Come A Day When Nothing Else Can Be Improved or Invented?

Friday, September 5th, 2008

When will we get to the point where nothing else can be improved? Sit back and read this and carefully think about this. It was around ten years ago when I had a computer that had a 2 gig hard drive. Today my BlackBerry curve as a 2 gig memory card smaller than my thumbnail, crammed in a metal cradle behind a rechargeable Li-Ion battery - which that battery in itself is a technological achievement.

It was just a little over 100 years ago when the first airplane took to the skies and crashed 12 seconds later. Today we have airplanes that require special pressurized suits because they subject the human body with more G-Force than can be sustained.

In 1664, Isaac Newton discovered that white light is composed of different colors. In 2008 we have 10 megapixel digital camera. See where I am going with this?

Will there come a day when nothing else can be improved or invented? What else is next?

What will come with the future of the Internet? What will become of blogs in the upcoming years? Everyone today is wanting to rank in the search engines and get their blog to a PR6 and have one million RSS subscribers, but have you sat back for a minute to wonder what your blog will be like ten years from now?

I know for a fact that one day this blog will become my son’s. I hope that he will continue to publish on this blog and then pass the site down to his son. What do you think will become with your blog over the next 10, 20, 50, 100 years? Also, will the Internet get to a point where it can no longer be improved? Will Internet technology get to the point where nothing else can be expanded or invented? What are your thoughts?
