The Blog Reader Interest Test
Here is a little test that you can offer on your site. You can copy and paste this exact one if you like, but I would recommend creating your own that has questions that are specifically important for you, your site and readers. The Blog Reader Interest Test is a great way to reach out and find out more about what your readers are interested in. This test is fun for readers because they can interact with you and other fellow readers with little to no effort and its fun for you because you can learn more about what appeals to your readers the most. Again, this is a test that you can freely copy and paste onto your site. If you do, please provide a link back to me. And also, I do recommend that you ask questions that are specific for your site and your readers.

Blog Memes do get old. I participate in ones that I think will truly help my readers such as the last major one, The Technorati Faves Exchange. I have hundreds of requests and received well over 100 comments on that post alone. Still to this day, I have a special Sub Folder in my inbox where I am dumping the requests to be added on the list, into that folder. I need to dedicate a full day towards updating that list and it would triple the number already there.
I have quite a few online ventures that make good money. I have a site where I write specifically towards generating beautiful and extremely relevant ads. Splogs are horrible, I can’t stand them… however, if you have a blog that you personally put your own blood, sweat and tears into… you can use put Google Adsense in charge of providing external links to readers on sites geared in that direction. As seen here. When the post gets older like this one it then appears here in the SERPS.
Garry Conn dot Com doesn’t run ads because I make money online in other ventures. This is my personal site where I put in 110% of all my heart into helping people learn what I spent years failing at. I ran Google Adsense for two weeks before my site had a minor crash and I made the $100 dollar mark, and I am done with it. I don’t want anything to distract you when you read my articles. I guess the site would have made $200/month with Adsense if I continued to run the ads… but I would rather eat that cost to keep better control on the content my site links to. Garry Conn dot Com will make money for me, but I think I am completely DONE with third party advertisers on the site.

I visit your blog Gary, cause i like what you write, and i like the fact that you take the time to reply to comments, i’m not too fond of blogs where the blog owner kinda ignores the comments and readers, and you’re doing a good job at replying and writing interesting content
