What is Joost?
Joost is a new way of watching TV on the Internet. With Joost, you get all the things you love about TV, including a high-quality full-screen picture, hundreds of full-length shows and easy channel-flipping. You get great Internet features too, such as search, chat and instant messaging, built right into the program - so you find shows quickly and talk to your friends while you watch. And with no schedules to worry about, you can watch whatever you want, whenever you like - as often as you want. Joost is completely free, and works with most modern PCs and Intel Mac-based computers with a broadband connection.
What Does Joost Look Like?
Below are a few screenshots:
Joost lets you watch TV in full screen, while giving you full control over your viewing. When you’re just sitting back and watching, all you’ll see is the video. But as soon as you lean forward and move the mouse to the edge of the screen, the Joost controls slide into view, letting you quickly switch between programs and fire up the built-in content and community features. With Joost, you always know exactly what you’re watching. Every channel and show has its own description, so you can get a quick snapshot just by pressing the information button. And using the intuitive mini controller, it’s easy to get to where you want to be next with just a few clicks of the mouse. Mac users get an extra bonus - you can do all of this with your remote control.
How Do I Get Joost?
To use Joost, you must have an invitation from an existing user. Until you receive an Joost Invite, you won’t be able to download the software. But don’t worry - there are lots of invites out there, with many more coming soon. And being apart of the Joost Invite Network is one of the best things you can do to get one quickly and easily from someone who has an invite to give away!
What Is The Joost Invite Network Central?
The Joost Invite Network Central is a place you can go to learn more about Joost (read above) and leave a comment (submit below) and post that you are either:
- Looking for a Joost Invite and explain what you are willing to do to get one. If you want to offer a trade, exchange for advertising, or something off the wall and silly! It doesn’t matter. or,
- You have a Joost Invite to give out and explain what you want for it in return. If you want someone help promote your blog by doing a link exchange, writing a review about your site, etc…

I really don’t like that they called it Joost. How am I ever gonna rank on Joost now?
Anyway, regretfully Joost is too bandwidth-heavy for me so an invite would be useless to me. If I get my hands on one I’ll remember this post though.

I haven’t used Joost in a about a week now… but from what I hear, Joost is open now.. or if not, then they are giving out the invites to all the users to give to people… I will check into this and let you know.
