I am bold enough to admit that I am not very successful with Google Adsense. Not many people can come to terms with that and publicly announce that…. But that’s ok! I will stand and admit that freely. I call this the Paradox of Google Adsense. I am aware of this, and that is why I don’t use Google Adsense here. Many are in this realm. If you use Google Adsense on your site it is very possible that you are targeting a group people who aware of what Google Adsense is.

Find an interest you share with NON-Geeks such as people who are interested in mountain hiking, bird watching, rock collecting, etc. If your site is a site that talks about tech and Internet stuff… you have to remember that the type of people visiting your site are just like you! And if you know what Google Adsense is, then more likely, your viewers do too! And there is nothing wrong with that, but I believe in cases like this… Google Adsense is not right for your site. Sell books or research how you can be successful selling Online.

Step outside the box of geek stuff, and take some time and effort into creating a blog site that talks things that other people share an interest in but commonly don’t know what Google Adsense is.

Create a site that touches on the interest of readers who aren’t Internet savvy. Don’t trick them into clicking by masking and blending the Google Adsense code into your site. Do take advantage of matching colors and such. Most importantly believe in the program if you decide to participate in it. Don’t expect to grow you blog overnight and don’t expect get rich quick either. It takes a lot of commitment, determination, and hard work.
