The Secret To Promoting Your Sponsors Successfully
I have a secret I want to share with you. It’s a little insider tip that millions of people search for everyday. How do you successfully promote your sponsors. Immediately, for some of you guys and gals, when you read my post title, you might have thought that I was going to talk about sponsored links, affiliate marketing or something to do with advertising successfully and or making money.
If you came into this article thinking this… you’re not too far off from what I am going to touch on in this article.
When you think of Text-Link-Ads, you think of “Sponsored Links”. When you think of ReviewMe.com or PayPerPost, you think of “Paid or Sponsored Posts”.
But, within these services, do the advertisers really sponsor you? We all know that we sponsor them! But is it a mutual relationship? I don’t think so… and that is part of the reason why I no longer participate in these programs on my blog. The truth is that I actually worked my ass off to gain the status of having the $250 dollars ReviewMe.com metric for my blog… yet two weeks later, I threw it away! Why? Because, I don’t want it… because I found a new secret in promoting my sponsors.
Who are my sponsors?
The people that support me, read my blog and care about the personal growth of my blog are my true sponsors. And this last week has got to be one of the most exciting weeks I have had in blogging. Not only have I met new friends, but many of my established friends have really kicked in and offered me a lending hand. This week, I owe all the success to five people who have really helped me out.
-
Christine Senter – For her continued work on Internet Aircraft Sales. She is the most dedicated and committed person I have ever met. I pay her as much as I can humanly afford to do publication work on Internet Aircraft Sales. She never complains about her wage and she enjoys doing the work for me. She believes in me and trusts me with all her heart. Her efforts in working on the ground floor of a new Internet business will never be forgotten and everyday I work my ass off so that she will start seeing her huge payday! BTW… Christine and I need a sales associate, if you can sell snow to an Eskimo, give one of us a call! We have a job for you!
-
David Cooley – For his continued support and collaboration on many very intellectual and stimulating ideas and thoughts. We have a very unique friendship (almost brother like) we bitch at each other, argue, fight, challenge, debate, contemplate different things, play chess online, talk on the phone, share ideas, share thoughts, exchange business ideas and strategies, critique each other, etc. Our relationship is awesome, because I can ask him anything and know that I am getting the real deal in a true response back. And I do the same for him… it’s either a bunch of shit or its gold! David Cooley is an awesome friend to have and an excellent person to be in a business partnership with.
-
Mark Sierra – Where do I begin. First off, these new “Kick Ass Graphics!!!” on my blog… he made them… the dude has some mad crazy hidden talents and he seems to be holding out on us. In the upcoming weeks, he will be rolling out with a business model either independently or we’ll JV together on providing the blogosphere with some of the most well designed, professional custom graphics available. Mark has helped me so much this week… a price can’t be claimed on its personal value to me. Mark, thank you so much for everything you have done for me… You’re awesome!
-
Tish McQueen – What a kind, intelligent and caring person. She is the co-founder of BlogsWeLuv.com. And after joining on as a contributor on the blog, my traffic and reader interest levels have spiked and hit the roof. First impressions last forever, and I can’t begin to tell you how wonderful of a person she is. She is very easy to talk to, incredibly gifted and very intelligent. She is someone I am very proud to associate myself with. Tish and I are now talking on a regular basis and have started sharing various business ideas together. Tish is a new friend, but has had a huge impact on the success of my blog. For that, I totally thank her!
-
Mike Wheeler – Mike is an amazing and gifted writer who accepted me into BlogsWeLuv.com. To allow someone else to come into your blog and broadcast content that not screened and automatically approved takes a lot of trust. Mike has opened his arms and has accepted me into writing on BlogsWeLuv.com. I have access to the blog and I can publish content as I want. In this day in age… finding and joining with communities or groups that automatically trust you are un heard of… BlogsWeLuv.com is a community of trust and friendship and I owe my week’s success to Mike. Tish and Mike have created something that will soon be worth more than gold and I am very happy to have an opportunity to be apart of it. Mike… you’re a totally cool guy, thanks for accepting me into BlogsWeLuv.com. I look forward to helping the team grow the blog to higher levels.
I am buying my sponsors lunch!
If we all lived in the same town or close by, you bet… I would take them all out and treat them to a fun lunch and hang out. But, as you know… in the dot Com world, people rarely live close to one another. But, I am still treating them to lunch… they will just have to eat alone. Before I wrote this article, I sent all five of my huge supportive friends an email. In the email, I explained to them that I have been very excited and thrilled with their support and that i wanted to take them all out to lunch. I make a little bit of money… but I am not a Bill Gates… YET!!! lol But, in the email I asked them to reply with their paypal.com addresses so I could send them a gift of $10 dollars. If I were to take them all out to lunch, I would imagine it would come to about $50 dollars (Yes!!! I would take them to McDonalds.. SHUT UP!!! lol). I believe that it’s the little things in life that count. And in all honestly, if I received an email like the email I just sent, that would totally make my day. And what would make my day even more is checking my Google Reader to see that a friend wrote an entire blog post thanking me for my help. So, I can only assume that tomorrow when my sponsors get the email and read this post, they will feel the same.
Christine, David, Mark, Tish and Mike… thanks again for all your help and support. Perhaps one day we can meet and have a real lunch together! Until then, you’ll have to accept my gift of $10 dollars and eat alone! lol!!!!

Garry, wow. Thank you so much for the kind words, and for the lunch! You are an amazing person, and I am so glad we met. I am the lucky one for having met YOU! I value our friendship and look forward to many more wonderful conversations! And I look forward to our business ventures together as well!
Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for so many things – most importantly, for being a wonderful friend.
I’m getting ready to head to work, but I’ll drop you an email shortly. Have a wonderful day.
Garry, thank you very much. I have never worked with anyone quite like you, your the younger brother I never had. You have proved my point for me, “It ain’t about what you can do, it’s what you can get done”, and you are excellent at that!
Thanks for all the inspiration you give!
Hey Garry,
Thanks so much. Not for the kind words, or the $10, but for all the things I’ve learned in the few months we’ve been working together. You’ve taught me more about blogging for business than I had learned in the 2 years prior.
The experiences I’ve gained through you are worth much more than any dollar amount, and your friendship is priceless. I wouldn’t be where I am right now, if it wasn’t for you.
I think you are right on!
I think a thank you post featuring sponsors, as well as a personal e-mail is the way to go.

P.S. Mark makes those?!? They are incredible! *e-mails Mark*
It’s great to know there are real people around in the blogosphere and sincere ones like you and your friends, Garry. It reminds me of the time when I was in my previous job – despite the obvious disgust I faced from my management for working with the ground and treasuring and rewarding them, I regarded the team I had as those who contributed more and provided more results. And they were a bunch of great people – it was immensely fun to work with them through all the problems we faced in projects.
Garry, what can I say that hasn’t already been said about what a great guy you are. I’ve learned so much from you already and hope to keep drinking from your fountain of knowledge as long as you keep the spigot open.
And creating your graphics was a joy. I used to be a graphic designer years ago. It looks like there are some latent skills lingering in the corners of my brain. LOL I’m excited about what the future holds for me in that regard and partnering with you on it will be fun and educational I’m sure!
Great to see 2 of my good friends Mark & Tish on your list of sponsors! This is really a nice gesture, Garry!
Mark.. awesome work with the graphics!
Hey Gary! I just signed up as a sponsor! I’m hoping there are some golfers in the blogosphere:). If so, send them over to my golf blog.
Hi Mike. I’m not a golfer, but I know a good blog when I see one. And you, sir, have a good blog. Keep up the good work!
Golfing is tons of fun… I suck at it, but even still I do enjoy playing and I really should make an effort to play more. Mike… I love the blog man, great site! I am sure it has been a huge success for you. Keep up the great work and thanks for signing up. I don’t a reason why anyone wouldn’t enjoy your blog. You have some great content over there and the overall design is way cool and well designed.
Awesome post, Garry =) Honestly I never felt there would be an issue with trusting you with the site. It’s obvious just from reading your site each day that you’re an exceptional person and blogger
Sorry, I’m a bit late with my reply. I’ve been a little sidetracked with my screenplay the last few days. One of these days it will be finished ;D
Woah! Yet another great post that just you think, “how cool is that?” – such a relatively small and easy gesture to make, but one that will mean so much to an individual – afterall it’s the thought that counts in life!
I’ve not known you that long Garry, but I’ve learnt a lot from reading your blog and the chats we’ve had – you’re are a very inspiring person!
I wish I’d found your blog earlier, one day when I have plenty of time, I’m going to go back to the start of your blog and read it from the beginning, there is true value in all your posts!
