The Seventh Day of the Seventh Month of the Seventh Year
Today is the seventh day of the seventh month of the seventy year and I remember seven months ago numerous blogs announcing their goals for 2007. With the 2007 being more than half way being over, I wanted to reach out and ask everyone how they are doing with their blogs. I would love to hear what the goals were that you set for yourself and your blog in January of 2007 and how well (or not) you are doing towards achieving them. It may help you with better achieving your goals by taking a moment to write about your experience. Writing about your experience year to date will trigger a lot of things that you haven’t thought about or neglected and will allow you the opportunity (five months) to continue to speed through and hit your goal marks.
I look forward to your comment and look forward to hearing about the personal goals you have set for yourself and your blog and how well (or not) you are doing to hit these goals. If you need some help, I may be able to offer some advise or assistance as well.

When I set up my blog, my long term goal is to learn the trade so that I can make money blogging, lots of them.
My short term goal is to make enough money to get that sleek but expensive PS3, by end of 2007. It is my target and a benchmark I set for my blog. Earnings wise I’m only about one third there, and is re-investing about half of it back into my first blog contest.
C’mon over to take part in my contest and stand the chance to win some cash! Most importantly, have fun!
7th of the 7th – that’s my wifes birthday
Goals for my blog – none really – one day I will go self hosted but when that happens who knows.
cheers,

almost a month in hiatus, i’ve been busy outside the blog world (who isn’t anyway) it’s a good thing i wrote a new article yesterday and did some article scheduling as well. i changed my goals from trying to see how much i can make blogmoney to trying to survive my blogyear and hopefully the hiatus won’t happen again because of my tight work schedule offline.
yesterday was my daughter’s birthday and she even turned 7.
Congrats… and Happy Birthday to your daughter! 7 years old is a fun year for kids! Their world opens up quite a bit, their hand eye coordination skills become better, they are better able to expand on things… 7 years old is an awesome year for kids!
She is going to have tons of fun this year! Enjoy it…
That good thing about blogging man, is the fact that you don’t have to do it daily. Great content doesn’t go away… and the longer your content is online the more attention it will get. You don’t have to post 10 posts per day to be a blogger… you can post one post per month and still enjoy blogging. Keep up the great work and don’t get disappointed about time…
I love it… you are an example of the classic blogger. If someone looks up blogging in the dictionary, a picture and reference of your site should be in there!
These are great goals… I wouldn’t mind setting out with a goal to blog for a PS3. It beats paying cash for it out of your own pocket. So, when you get your PS3 paid for by blogging, then next blog to get a Big Screen TV, and then get a mortgage payment, and then keep stepping your goals higher and higher… soon you will find yourself on the beach with your family on a very extended vacation!
Garry, is that good or bad
My blog isn’t that important – or course I would love to make a billion a month in adsense, but that’s an effort that I just don’t/can’t do at the moment.
Hi eliza
Your daughter turned 7 on 07.07.07? Wow!! That’s an amazing birth date! Oh, Happy belated birthday to her!
My goal was to get YOU to visit my blog more often… I have succeeded!
That is pretty cool. I would have called the local paper on that one… Not only was her Birthday on 07-07-07 but she is also turned 7 years old…
That is really cool!
I’ll tell you what… your site has to be one of the most improved site designs I have seen in a long time. Did you design all that yourself? Did you hire someone? Or, did that come standard with the theme? Either way… your site rocks!
No man… that is good. The Internet was a pretty cool place back when it was all about information. Soon, it evolved into a huge billboard advertisement. I fall responsible for that too… I make money online. I am not saying that the Internet isn’t cool today… I guess what I am trying to say is that you maintain using your blog for your own reasons, blogging. And there is nothing wrong with that at all. Your posts are great. You inform people about new things, publish a lot of news, opinions, suggestions… etc.. You are doing great!
Thanks bud. Worked with a great designer.
thanks Garry. I really appreciate that.

Hi Garry,
It’s been quite awhile since I posted on your site. I guess you could say I have a somewhat short attention span when it comes to such things. I am very busy, and I am constantly changing the blogs I look at on a regular basis, and comment on.
Anyway, my goal by the end of the month is to get my first check from Google Adsense. I can smell it. I can taste it. I am so excited.
I plan to stick to the things I said I will stick to in my blog, such as continue to push up.
Currently, there is no fixed goal for me….but yes..I need to establish myself as a professional blogger…I am very much into my work and apart my profession – I want to set my identity online….
So watchout for me….:)
7th day of the 7th month is a great day every year. It’s my birthday!
At least that applies until the 40’s.
Happy Birthday!
