Traffic Building Contest

with 10 comments

sleepyI really have a lot of fun with blog contests. Running contests on your blog is a great way to meet new friends and increase the number of people who read your blog. I have a brand new traffic building contest that I want to invite you to participate in. The winner of this contest will receive one week of free advertising on my blog.

This isn’t your typical advertisement. For starters, your blog will be advertised on the “Hottest Spot” on my blog. Additionally, I will be creating a custom graphical banner for your advertisement. When the contest is done, the graphic is yours to keep. This in itself has a value of $50 dollars. The last part, and probably the most important, is the fact that your advertisement will be displayed on every page within my entire blog! This is a huge opportunity for you to score some really good traffic to your blog.

The contest is simple. All you have to do is write a review about my blog and your name will be entered into a drawing. When the contest is over I will randomly choose a winner. The odds of winning this contest could be 1/10 or 1/1000. It all depends on the number of people who participate. All in all, the key thing to remember is what winning this contest could do for you. The potential payoff makes it worth the fighting the odds. Besides, I am sure that you would write a review about Garry Conn even if there wasn’t a contest involved, right? :)

Rules For Participating

The rules are simple. Write a review about my blog on your blog or at a minimum just mention me in a post. In the review, please link to my home page using the anchor text: blog tips or Garry Conn. If it helps, feel free to link to some of my articles and write summaries about them. After you write your review, drop me a comment here on this post or make sure a trackback is left so I can enter your name into the drawing. The drawing will take place on Monday Sept. 17th. If you should have any questions, comments or suggestions, please feel free to drop me a comment below. Good luck to everyone who participates.

  2. Tech For Novices,

I figured you would be one of the first to join. And talk about killing two birds with one stone. You wrote the review and used your special URL from the other contest. That is pretty smart man. Nice work.

With this traffic building contest, I would like to see reviews that explain more about my blog or the things I write about. Remember, you are giving a personal review about me or my site.

Feel free to mention the reason why you are doing the review… that would be great! But make sure that is not the only thing you mention. :)

  7. Thanks for joining… I dropped a comment on your post as well. I should mention more closely that the banner I create for the campaign has a face value of $50 dollars. The actual campaign has a value of about $500 dollars. Good luck with the contest… Its a random draw and so far it doesn’t look like many have joined in… so the odds are in your favor.
