Vending Machine Businesses

Tags Related To Vending Machine Businesses , ,

Getting into vending machine business can be extremely profitable. I am serious! You can make a ton of money by setting up vending machines at local businesses, gas stations, car lots, etc.

Why does the vending machine business work? Simple! People buy things out of them. When was the last time you bought something from a vending machine?

Why doesn’t everyone get into vending machine businesses? Simple! It cost a lot of money to start. These machines don’t come cheap, you know! If you look on eBay or in your local classifieds, they range in price from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars.

Because of the start up expense, many people can’t afford to start a successful career in the vending machine business. And, for me… that is where blogging comes in.

How is blogging similar to the vending machine business?

I am very glad that you asked that question! The blogging business and vending machine business are so very similar, I would almost call it cloning!

One: People use the Internet to buy things just as much if not more than they would use a vending machine and not think twice about it.

Two: Both the blogging business and vending machine business cater to a certain audience or niche market.

Three: Both businesses show the most reward and success when dealing in volume.

Why Is Blogging Easier and More Profitable?

Yet, another excellent question! The answer is simple.

One: Extremely low cost!

Two: Starting a new blog is like delivering a vending machine to a new location. Meaning, very soon after, both the vending machine as well as the blog begin to make money.

Three: A blog that targets a niche is more effective towards catering to the client compared to a vending machine.

Four: Repair, upgrade and maintenance costs are extremely low.

Five: Commission doesn’t have to be paid to the business owner. There is only a monthly rental fee and that is called web hosting. The cost for hosting in only a few dollars per month.

What About Stocking?

Making your rounds and stocking vending machines is a pain in the ass. Also, from time to time, you’re going to get calls from the business owners when problem happen with the machine, such as a stuck candy bar.

Stocking a blog is much easier. This is called writing content. Your content serves as your inventory and provides a much wider range in selection. No stuck candy bars on a blog and not hate calls about you blog robbing someone of their change!

Do You Want To Make Money?

There are many ways to make money. One of which is getting into the vending machine business. Another is getting into the blogging business. Blogging is much cheaper and doesn’t require a lot of money upfront and the pay off can be a lot bigger in the long run.

Start a niche blog today! Check out Micro Niche Finder as this program will show you what kind of candy bars you should stock your blog with. :)

There is another important point why not everybody jumps into the vending machine business: it’s about sales. You have to go out and ask 10 - 20 persons before you get a location for your vending machine and most people are not comfortable with doing that, because they’re afraid about the denies. So also this is a PRO for blogging: you haven’t to ask anybody to start your own blog !

If you’re interested to know something more about how to get a passive income with vending machines, read this post by Geniustypes (BTW it’s a great blog about making passive income).

haha, you are reading my mind. I’ll be posting another comparison later this week, I think you’ll get a kick out of it. I do agree with the vending machines, you know there is a blogger that chats about his vending machine business all the time. Very interesting to read too.

Very solid analogy. Another interesting stat with vending machines is that they are cheaper than your local convenience store. A bottle of Coke is $1.25 at the store, but only $1 in the machine. (at least it’s that way here in CHicago)I’d think blogs could be the same in the sense that you could sell products cheaper in your online store as compared to JCPenney’s or whatever.

Allyn,

I think I need to move back to Chicago and do most of my shopping via vending machines. Typically how that business works is the fact that you’re going to spend a dollar on a pop from the machine or spend two dollars on a six pack at the store. Its the individual product mark up that scores the loot in the vending machine business. It almost seems like you might have it backwards.

You shop for your inventory in bulk and then mark up the cost in the machine. Bulk order of 24 pk of chips cost $5 and then you charge .50c per bag in the machine. Your $5 dollar investment turns into $7 dollars profit.

There is one thing that they have in common and that is vandalism. If you don’t want your blog or vending machine to get owned you have to check on it often. Make sure that it is in working condition and that some one can’t sneak an exploit in through a hole that wasn’t suppose to be there. Also when you own a vending machine business the cash doesn’t go right into an account that a thief can’t easily infiltrate like running a blog.
