Video Blog #003 – Google AdSense Tips

with 5 comments

I received an email from a reader today who asked me for advice on how he can earn more money using Google AdSense. He explained to me in the email that he launched his first blog about two weeks ago and was disappointed with the earning results.

Here is a copy of the email he sent me:

Hello Garry,
I’ve been visiting your site more and more often take a lot of time trying to learn all tips and tricks you have got to offer when it comes to making money online, thanks a lot. I really appreciate people like you who is willing to spend their own time, and knwoledge learning other to do the same thing. Not mentioning your 60 minute video (have only watched the intro so far), really good material you got there!

I’m trying to make money on the net too in some way and recently bought hosting and a domain at BlueHost (the 1st domain was included!). It is really exciting! But I think I need a few tips on and maybe someone to give me a few pointers on my site. I’ve had the website up and running for about two weeks now with adsense and isn’t doing that well. It could be that my site hasn’t really been nested in the google search engine that good yet ($1.14( but I’m trying really hard to optimize the sites and provide good content. In this case on migraine head and relevant topics/keywords.

I’m really eager to start this new kind of business but first I need to know if the site I think is quite good is good enough. I hope you want to look at my website and I hope I hear from you soon!

Best regards,
Marten from Sweden

Your blog isn’t really being used in an optimal way. You have a total of 6 articles found on the blog. These articles have been published on your blog as WordPress pages. It would be better for you to use your blog as a blog and post your article content as blog posts. WordPress Pages should be used for about me, contact me, and privacy policy pages.

With that said, you can’t expect to make a lot of money from just one blog or web site. The theory behind micro niche blogging is to have a lot of blogs, each earning a very small passive income. Over time and across the board, all the blogs should generate around $1 / day (or more). If you have 100 blogs, then you should be earning around $100 / day using Google AdSense. At least that was my goal almost two years ago. Today I have hundreds of little blogs that never really get updates, each sitting there earning between $0.50 to $2.50 a day. Some sites I own do much better than that, especially my deal niche blogs.

My advice to you would be to continue researching profitable keywords and start developing an assembly line style system for launching niche blogs or web sites. For me, I am able to build a blog in a matter of just an hour or two at the most. Once I have the content written offline and have the templates and various plugins that I want to use ready. I simply take all the puzzle pieces and put them together. Once my blog is built and content is imported, I then register the blog in Google Webmaster Tools, activate my Sitemap.xml file, publish five posts immediately and then schedule the remaining posts to go live once a week.

To make money online with Google AdSense, you have to have a larger volume of active domain names online each with a very decent amount of content and indexable pages that can rank well in Google. You can not expect to make a lot of money online with just one site made for AdSense. It simply doesn’t happen.

  4. saying that though Garry $1 means in 30days = $30 that could be reinvested in about 6 more domains where you can repeat. So in theory $210 at end of month two. (in a perfect world).

It all starts with that dollar; as you yourself have said you started this part time then moved on…when did you quit your day job at site 100? ;)

  5. I really didn’t quit my job directly from doing this. I do a lot of service work locally in my town. Web design, computer repair / sales, etc… Although now, a lot of those services have slowed down quite a bit as I am not as dependent on the money from it.
