I really believe that there is a lot of truth to this video. The Internet is much much different today than it was ten years ago. Today, it would seem that more casual people are building the web.
Everyone is an expert in something in their lives and as more and more time goes by these people who have their expertise in certain things contribute their experiences on the net for others to see. Combine this behavior with millions of people with unique strengths and then you have yourself a powerhouse of a resource of information.
