Morning Addiction: Blogging vs Coffee
Soon after the discovery of blogging, your typical morning routine of 20+ years has been totally changed. Where at one time you would snap at your spouse for talking to you prior to having your normal morning cup of coffee, it has now evolved into something different:
Blogging In The Workplace
Millions of bloggers are sticking it to the man!!! We slave every day working our 9 to 5 day jobs and the tables have turned. We may make shitty hourly wages, but it sure is excellent pay for blogging!
Blogging and Camping
Oh how much fun it is to go camping and be in the middle of nature without a gas generator and a satellite link up connection.
Business Blogs vs Doing Your Business
The standard bathroom check list for a blogger is more than making sure there is toilet paper on the dispenser. Conducting blog business while doing your own business is an involved process. Luckily, modern technology has made this process a little easier:

Pretty funny. I know several people who blog at work and being fired for blogging on the job has crossed their mind. I doubt it would happen though…

hehe, well the coffee is me and I do blog at the office…my house. Now you forgot some….dream about blogging, dream about how to make money blogging, daydream about it. When something funny happens your first thought is I’ve got to blog about this, same with sad or scary. Your kids ask you what you blogged today. Someone asks for your address and you put down your email addy.

LOL, that’s great, Garry. I don’t drink coffee, but the first one fits me quite well. After I walk the dog, I crank up the ol’ computer and check my email to see if anybody has left me any goodies from the blogs.

My morning routine is coffee, email and then statistics. And the third cartoon is the reason why I’m actually thinking whether or nor I should go backpacking or just stay in a hotel with wireless internet in one town. It’s craziness I tell you!

Ok… I’ll confess!
#4 was me… still is! Back in the day before I had my house set up on wireless, I invested a full weekend under my house re-doing my entire phone and network wiring. Long story short, I had RJ12 and RJ45 jacks in every room in the house… including the bathrooms. That way, when I did my ah…. “Business” I could also do my other business by connecting my laptop with a 4ft Cat5 cable into my RJ45 jack in the bathroom….
Life on the can is much easier now… laptop goes on the hamper, no cords, or wires and I am off! LOL!!!!

HAHAHA well I can’t blog at work I am a plumber and theres no power in thebuilding I am in. So I talk about it all the time and when I go to bed I make sure I leave my email up so when I get up before i sip my coffee I walk by the computer to see if I have any emails. I also check to see how many new visitors I have from the day before so Ican watch my growth. Oh I think about blogging when I am in the washroom, my laptop is broken right now so I guess I am lucky there. Wander if I would get in trouble from the girlfriend if she woke up at 3am and I was blogging (lol one sec dear just let me finsh my post then I will shut it off)I get in crap enough for that one already.

See I have learned a lot in the last few years of being married. You see, my dog house has many luxuries.. I figured, since I spend so much time it in… I might as well wire it up, throw in a small fridge for beer, throw in a DireTV box with a small TV… run some coaxial cable, drop a phone line… yeah! I have the best dog house in Tennessee. So, its not too bad when my wife sends me there! LOL!!!

Well, I guess I can safely say that I’m not a blogging addict. I still have to have my coffee in the morning before anything else. I don’t have a computer where I work, so that’s not an issue. And the day I have to take my puter to the potty with me is the day I check into a 12 step program. LOL

Ok Garry, now I think you are just picking on me, lol. I fit almost all the items about being old, and now this, holy cow, stop it.
I am so bad I bought a Nokia N770 just for situations like #4, and I can read my RSS while doing other things and not have to have a laptop.

Coffee, email, earnings and stats in that order. Although now you have me totally stressed with #3. I’ll be off in rural Thailand in November for 3-5 days and I know it’s at least 30 minutes to the nearest internet cafe. How do I get my hands on the Mr. Wizard instructions? And can I use banana’s instead of potato’s?

Hehe. This is great.
I’m definitely a blog addict. I even had “business cards” printed to promote my blog. It has my name, blog name, URL, a tag line, and my cell phone number on it. I got the idea when I met up with some other local bloggers a few months ago. One of them gave me his blog card. hehe.
Anyway, I recently went to another blog function and met some bloggers I was unfamiliar with. It was awesome giving out my cards! What a great way for people to remember to check out your site! I only wish some of the others had cards as well.
