What Is My Blog Description
I am doing a little work on my blog tonight and it dawned on me…
Why should I struggle with trying to think of a blog description for my site, when the description could come more natural from you?
You are the reader, so why do you visit my blog… what is my blog about?
Drop me a comment below and in two sentences, tell me why you read my blog. In essence, you will be writing my blog description.
If I use your description, I will provide a FREE DOFOLLOW link to direct to your blog.
See Example below, which is a live example right now:
My good blog friend Kyle wrote a post about his ten most favorite blogs to read and published a wonderful description about my blog. So, after reading the post, it totally inspired me to create this simple program. And Why not? Readers of my blog should be rewarded. And doing things like this are just my little ways of saying, “Thank you!”
If you read my blog, I want to give you the opportunity to tell everyone else what my blog is about. If you do, then your link will be featured on the top of over 500 heavily viewed and search engine friendly pages.
This is a search engine friendly link. This link also complies with quality guideline standards for the simple fact that you have contributed creative, unique and useful content written about my site. For that reason, a search engine friendly DOFOLLOW link is in order. When you publish information that is written by other people, it is a common practice to provide the source to the author who wrote it. Well, folks… if someone writes the description of my blog I will be linking to the author who wrote it.
If you would like to have your link displayed on the top of every page within my site, drop me a comment and include a well written two sentence description about my blog.
I will pick and choose the ones I like and run them for no set time. As the days go by, and I become more of a seasoned blogger, I have learned that it is a lot easier NOT to apply certain rules such as, “Your link will be displayed for two weeks” or “Link to me and I will link to you”. It’s best that I NOT offer commitments that I can’t fulfil. I have done this in the past and I don’t want to feel like I am dropping the ball on my readers.
So, if you provide me with a well written description… I may or may not use it. And if I do use it, I don’t know how long I will keep it up there until I swap it with someone else’s. Could be a month… could be a year, could be a week. The point is, I am a busy blogger and I am not in a position to make a commitment to change the description on a regular basis. However, when the time comes to change it, I will look at these comments first before anything else.
Good luck and I look forward to publishing your description of my blog! And special thanks to Kyle for writing his post which inspired this idea.

I made the logo! Whoohoo!
This is definitely a good way for your readers to get a link placed “above the fold”.

I came for blogging tips. Picked a few up in your posts as well. It looks I’m going to have to go ahead and become a mommy to get my foot in the door in this blogger’s universe. I don’t know if you’ve heard about the conference coming up, PostieCon. It seems like a cool place to find tips about making money and keeping an audience in the blog world. Thought you may want to check it out.

Having some server issues.
Long story short.. the reason why your comment didn’t post is because I had packed up and moved all my sites to a new server…
That server didn’t work out too well, so I came back to my original server…
Now, all the posts that I have written so far this week, I have backed them up and I will have to manually reinsert them.

I first became aware of Garry Conn’s blog during the Cowpetition that ranearlier this year. I can truthfully say that I have learned a lot about the craft of blooging from the pages of agrry Conn’s blog!
