Okay I was NOT going to post, but oh well. My best was probably a $10 day. Yep that’s it. But it was fun to watch. Course I have a tough topic too. :)

My best day with Google Adsense is .58. That’s 58 cents. All time I’ve accumulated $5.32. I say accumulated because technically I haven’t made any money with it yet because I’ve yet to receive a check from Google. At this rate it’ll be another 3 years before I get a check. I’ve been entirely unsuccessful in pulling off Google Adsense.

$10 bucks isn’t bad at all. One thing though, if you want to make money using AdSense and if you KNOW that you have a tough topic, then why continue to write content based on that topic? Why not test the waters and find a more profitable topic. :)

My best day was just under $5. I seem to average around $0.50 per click, but that day was just… niiiice. :-) I’ve been thinking of switching to another company that does context ads, but I want to hit payout first.

Hi Cesar,

You have a cool file sharing site. I might even use it. You have to consider that a site like yours targets traffic like me. Your traffic consists of tons of people who know what Google Adsense is. You might have better luck using AdSense on a different kind of site. For me, I know I would go there to do two things… upload and share files.

With the blog you mentioned though, that is great! Nothing wrong with having an extra $400 dollars in your pocket just for blogging. ;)

Hi Bryan,

Don’t get discouraged. Let me ask you this… are you really TRYING to make money with AdSense? If you are serious about it, let me know, and then I’ll response giving you a few links to posts I have written in the past that will give you some good advice. ALso, what is your blog URL?

8 Garry Conn { 12.01.08 at 6:13 pm }

$5 / day is very close to $150 / month. This is awesome news! I would suggest looking back on that moment in time when things were doing well and duplicating what you did and try to build from it. Tell me more about that time and I can give you some additional tips and advice if you’d like.

9 WordVixen { 12.01.08 at 6:21 pm }

I’d love to, but I hadn’t actually posted in days (or weeks depending on the site). I know two clicks were a friend, but the other 3 were legit! Have noticed that one particular site is getting a high number of clicks for the low volume of visitors, and the commission is pretty good. Working on building that site up.

Gary, thanks for the reply. I have several blogs I’m running right now but only one that I have adsense running on. The ones I’m not running it on are my affiliate sites. I tried adsense on a couple of them and got almost zero clicks. I took adsense off and kept the affiliate programs. I’m not making much with the affiliate programs either (around $5/month) but I’m still learning.

I started a blog specifically for adsense back in October after doing some keyword research and decided to give it a try again. I wrote a few articles for it but life (losing my job and the passing of my father) have gotten in the way and I’ve left it unattended for about four weeks (hence only one post in the last month). The URL is:

How Much Is Renters Insurance

I’d appreciate any links to articles you have.

Thanks.

Bryan,

Blogger.com is a great platfrom for people who want to tap into the business of making money online without having to invest money into buying a domain name, paying for web hosting, etc… Although, a domain name and web hosting is very cheap, I understand that many people don’t want to invest the money into it until they are comfortable with knowing that money can be made back in return.

One of the MOST important things a blogger can do with their free Blogger.com blog is to make their post titles search engine friendly. When you title your blog post, it should contain the primary keywords that you are trying to rank for in Google. Granted there is a balance wiht this. You can’t write a blog post and title it PEPSI and expect to rank #1 for that term. But on the same note, if you use too many words in your blog post, you dilute your ability to rank for anything.

With that said, lets look at your blog post:

http://howmuchisrentersinsurance.blogspot.com/2008/11/los-angeles-fires-catch-renters.html

The post title is Los Angeles Fires Catch Renters Unprepared.

Now if you look here, you will see that Google has already indexed you post:

http://www.google.com/search?q=site:howmuchisrentersinsurance.blogspot.com/2008/11/los-angeles-fires-catch-renters.html

The problem though is that Google only shows a certain number of characters in the title and your post title is cut off.

Gooogle reads this:

How Much Is Renter’s Insurance?: Los Angeles fires catch renters …

You need to modify your Blogger.com template to make your post titles be shown friendly to search engines

Google should read this:

Los Angeles Fires Catch Renters Unprepared

Follow this link and check out the different people who have written on this topic and learn how you can make your Blogger.com blog display search engine friendly post titles:

I’ve really just started messing around with adsense (focused on affiliate products before this). The first site did ok, making me about $1/day. The second has been doing a lot better making about $16/day with the highest day being $31.

Thanks for the info. My affiliate blogs don’t reside on free domains. I only used blogger for this one because I wanted to try adsense again.

Thanks for the tips and links. I’ve modified my blogger template using an article from the search results you gave me.

$32.45 on Thanksgiving of all days. I’ve been over $20 five times, this was my first over $30. One of my keywords made the top 20 on Google Trends (http://trends.google.com/trends/hottrends?sa=X&date=2008-11-27) which gave me about a 3x boost in traffic overall.

I’ve hit about $5 a day. I haven’t really used AdSense too much until recently. I am mostly doing affiliate marketing but my mortgage blog gets some nice, high-paying clicks.

OK, Garry, I’ll take a few pointers on scaling it up with AdSense. What do you think?

Morning G-man, hows it going?!?!
Currently Im running about 3.43/day, the most Ive made in one day was 11.27. LOL my problem now was that when I stated placing ads on blogs and sites I wasnt using channels to track and keep track of what will be getting and or is getting clicked. Guess I should tend to that at some point huh

Oh I’m definitely trying the waters, but my one site I’d never leave. It’s my own personal blog. :) But trying the waters is definitely something I’m learning more about and I think I’ve found my niche. Now just to get the money that goes with it. :)

my best per day was $150 :)

i have crossed the mark of $3000 from adsense with my network of sites :)

you can make good money from adsense

traffic = money
traffic + good niche = good money :)

the problem is finding the niche and people who make good money dont reveal the niches :)

Hello Gary,

I’m new here and appreciate the advice and comments of all. I launched a Christian entertainment site (children’s stories, Bible stories etc) back in 2002. I added a companion resource site 3 years later. I tried several affinity programs, but they were dreadful. I launched Adsense on both sites in August 05 and my two biggest days came, not surprisingly, around Easter – with $28.93 in March 15, 2008 and $42.87 on March 31, 2007.

Between the two sites above, I’m drawing about 2,000 impressions a day based on the last 30 days’ average. This is a little inflated because of the approaching holidays. I have been tweaking the pages and managed to get the average click thru over 3%, but the earnings per click for advertisers in this category is apparently quite low – but I am still making progress improving the numbers.

My passion is the children’s stories and Christian writing, but I have recently had some ideas for other sites and blog topics and that got me surfing through all the blogging expert sites.

Adsense has been great. And I see the potential for it to be more than just a hobby, which makes my boss a little nervous. For those that have not seen the results, be patient. It may take some work to get where you need to be.

Harrison

22 Trent Brownrigg { 12.02.08 at 9:48 pm }

I used to make anywhere from $150 to $200 per day with Adsense. I think around $275 was my best day. That was a few years ago when it was easier. I don’t do much with Adsense nowadays so I don’t make a lot.

The best I ‘ve made in one day with Adsense is $170, but i agree that nowadays it is more difficult.

I second that question. Garry what was your best day? :)

25 Jebbica { 12.03.08 at 10:43 am }

Hi Garry:

I used to make around $10 a day. I had it figured out that I would average around $1/1000 hits. However, now I am getting a lot of hits but am making nowhere near that! Monday I got 55,000 hits on one site, and I made around $5.50 total on Adsense. So I have gone from making $1/1000 hits to $1/10,000 hits. Is that a problem with Google, do you think, or with me?

26 KaHoongChai { 12.03.08 at 11:08 am }

The largest amount that I made from Adsense was about $4-$5 in a day, but that was long time ago. But I’d made money from other method instead of Adsense.
Garry, I think most of us would be interest to know your Adsense earning as well. ;)

Regards,
Lee

27 Eric D { 12.03.08 at 3:35 pm }

Currently I am averaging about $20 a day from 4 sites/blogs. I am beginning to realize that a lot of adsense is a numbers game. The more sites with quality niche content then the more visitors which translates to more Adsense revenue. I don’t like the whole “Made For Adsense (MFA)” site concept…….. I strive to provide either valuable content or make my sites a resource center for whatever particular niche I am targeting. I am hoping my $20 a day will increase to $100 a day in 2009 as I plan to start one new “quality” website per month.

Will have to wait and see what happens………….

Thank you,Garry Conn.

29 IngaOz { 12.04.08 at 7:26 am }

LoL, my best day was when I earned about $3… And I was so proud with myself… :D

30 Scott { 12.05.08 at 9:51 am }

Gary, as a complete newbie, I got roped into believing that Adsense was the easiest thing to do with a site specifically designed to utilize the program. Whoa bessie… back the cart up. What I didn’t know at the time that is a big nono for Adsense and it is one of the quickest ways to get blacklisted by them. Thank goodness I didn’t however on the flip side after purchasing a program from Adam Karn, Adsense Big, I didn’t make any money either. I guess the way to truly make some money with Adsense is to have your own URL, use wordpress and creat a blog with a specific niche in mind. $10 a day sounds great and all but in order to make it halfway decent at that rate you would have to have 10 to 20 separate blogs to make any decent return. What do you think?
Thanks, I really appreciate your blog and what you put out there for all of us to learn from.

31 Ganesh { 12.06.08 at 7:50 am }

The best I have earned with Adsense till date is about $8 in one day that was from my proxy. I’ve never really tested Adsense seriously till now. Maybe I should start trying it out.

33 Zipporah Sandler { 12.06.08 at 9:44 am }

$9.47 (EXACTLY) – My blog is barely 2 months old and my AVERAGE daily on adsense is in the $4.00 range. I know that I can do more, but I also know that with the blog being so YOUNG that it will take time getting the word out there. I now have 4 blogs (but I’m letting go of one this week, because it’s just not working for me – content, etc).

Earning from adsense is directly proportional to the amount of traffic you get. More the traffic more chances of clicks.

my boss owns over a dozen domains and many running ad sense, none makes any money: in almost two years he made less than $60 bucks.
i bought a domain for my friend 3 months ago, and make 300 hits per week.
i say do not try to retire from buying domain names unless you buy generic
