Where Can I Learn about and Download New WordPress Themes?
A few days ago I received an email from a guy name Brian who informed me about his website. Now honestly, I receive a lot of emails each week from people asking me to visit their blog or site. But, Brian’s email was a little different and WordPress sites most always capture my attention. Brian’s site is basically a WordPress theme directory. I like it and wanted to tell everyone else about it.
As you know, I can’t seem to keep the same theme on my blog for more than a day. That said, I am always on the hunt for finding new WordPress themes to demo, purchase, download, and install. The problem I have is that I can’t seem to find any new sites on the Web. Secondly, I can’t seem to find any sites on th web that offer detailed reviews of WordPress themes.
On of the things that I like most about Brian’s site is that he has fully tested many themes already in advanced. Some of the things he tests for include W3C Compliant – XHTML and CSS, browser compatibility for IE7, FireFox, and Chrome, the level of support from the designer, proper alignment of sections, and many other elements.

In addition to these generalized tests, Brian takes things further and offers a full SEO Test. I don’t think anyone is doing something like that. The final results of each tested theme are included in an easy to read table chart and a final stamp of Gold, Siliver, or Bronze approval is issued.

Finding themes that interest you is a snap. On the sidebar, you can sort themes by choosing Free Themes or Paid Themes. Additionally, you can filter results by specifiying the theme structure. Some of these filters include 1 column, 2 column, 3 column, Ads ready, minimal, right sidebar, left sidebar, and magazine.

Additional sorting includes showing only themes by category topic. A few of the categories include Animals, Art, Busines, Entertainment, Family, Food, Games, and Gardening.
One of the most appealing factors of Brian’s site is that he’s accepting new themes into the directory. If you want to spread the word about your custom WordPress theme, simply submit it into the directory. The online form will allow you to accurately communicate the name and version, as well as description. You can specify whether you provide support, and even include a demo URL.

That said, be sure to check out Brian’s WordPress theme directory. I think you’ll agree that his site is one of the better places to search and learn about new WordPress themes in the market.

Do you only do WP blog helps, or do you do Blogger from time to time. I've had you on my blogroll/been following you for a long time, and I've never caught a Blogger based help.
I'd be happy to cover more topics about Blogger.com. What are some things specific that you'd like some help with? Thanks for stopping by.
Hey cool Gary thanks.. I'll definitely check it out. What's funny is I just put a new theme on my blog and was wrestling with the friggin' base64 crap in the footer. I hate that shit.
Thanks again!
Thanks for posting this resource and thank you Brian if you are reading this. This is a dream come true for wordpress bloggers.
Hey Joe… yes, that totally frustrated me as well. One thing I was going to do was simply view source live and copy the HTML code and then paste it into the footer.php and remove the sponsored links. Only problem was making sure the various php codes were still there. I am glad I was able to figure out how to do the base64 decoding.
Totally agree… Brian's got a great idea and I was glad he contacted me about it.
I have been on his website before.. And yes their themes are amazing. I have used some of them for my client's website.
Well, I think I'm still looking for a new Wordpress theme for myself and I'm sure a lot of my readers would be interested too. Though, right now I'm promoting free templates for those that use Blogger blogs for now.
