Who Said You Can’t Make Money Online With Firefox Referrals?

Tags Related To Who Said You Can’t Make Money Online With Firefox Referrals? , , , , ,

Most everyone who reads this post knows that you can make $1 dollar for every unique person you get to download FireFox. However, I don’t see many people talking about it or activately promoting FireFox. See here is the thing about me, I always try to find the simple things that make me money. I am sure you know by now, I am not a huge fan of work. So, for me, I always look for the easy ways to make money.

You can make excellent money online by telling your visitors about Firefox. Many people don’t though and I am guessing that is because publishers might assume that their readers already have Firefox installed.

The above screen shot shows you a site that I own that I have been tracking in Google Analytics. In this shot you will see that 63.26% of all visitors use Internet Explorer. That equates to 8,773 people within a 30 day period. The way I see it is that has the potential to be $8,773/month in money that I could be making simply one dollar at a time.

Check your stats… you might be in for a surprise.

Don’t assume that because you and your friends use Firefox that the rest of the world uses Firefox. Some shocking news for you… Internet Explorer is THE most popular web browser and will remain the most popular web browser for a super long time. Harness that fact and make a lot of money online by converting your traffic into downloading Firefox and make tons of money doing it.

I’m also surprised more people don’t promote it. There was a huge potential to make a lot of money recently by jumping on the hype of firefox3 but people should still be able to get a decent amount of leads just from the aftermath of that with all the curious people that read about it.

Not only can you make money but you also help make the web a better place lol ;).

Is there a particular link to Firefox to get set up with this? I’ve referred some friends to Firefox by telling them to go to the web site. I’m learning about how to get started with a web site now and would like to include this. I probably should upgrade to the Firefox 3 myself, but I’m waiting to hear more about other people’s experiences with it before making the change.

Wow…those numbers are surprising. On both of my two blogs, I am seeing about 80% Firefox and only about 12% IE.

Still…everyone loves Firefox so it should be an easy buck. Great idea. Thanks Garry.

Those numbers didn’t come from this blog. :)

They came from a blog that targets traffic who have no CLUE about any of the typical things that interest people like us such as making money online, search engine rankings, Firefox…. you know, things like that. ;)

yeah….promoting Firefox is definitely an option. I agree, I think most assume, especially bloggers, that everyone else is using it because they do. I don’t actively promote firefox, but I do promote it, because I like it! Maybe I should start a new campaign to promote it.

It all depends on the site. If I were to promote Firefox on this blog, it would be stupid and a waste of time. Something like 90% of all the people who visit this site use Firefox already. I got bigger fish to fry on sites where 80% of the visitors don’t use it. ;)

I hear ya, I’d probably do it on other sites as well…..maybe some social networks….it could be another easy buck! :)

Nice thinking “outside the box.” I also just kind of think that everyone is already using FF. Yet, I know that on some sites IE is used more. Kind of dumb on my part. Thanks.

You use it through Adsense as a “referral” ad. If you already have an adsense account, you just access it through there. If you don’t have one, let me know, I’ll be happy to help you get started :)

(of course by getting started, I mean, I have an affiliate link you can use lol)

seriously, it’s setup through adsense and if you don’t have an account go get one.

Ha ha I have adsense already - good try though :)

Thanks for the info - I’d not noticed firefox referrals in there before now.

Yeah, I pretty much figured that…but, you know, gotta throw it out there just in case!
If you go into the adsense setup, when choosing your ad type, chose referral and you will see it. It is under Google Products.

I only use Firefox. I quit using Internet Explorer almost a year ago. If I am checking to see if something is displaying correctly, I will check it in IE because most internet users use it. You are right, having people download Firefox could be a nice monthly income.

“Not a fan of work”, ha ha….. don’t buy that line Garry, you work harder than anyone….. but I get what you are on about.

Me and Zath were looking at this the other day and wondering if it was viable. The link from Adsense asked you to download the .exe with Google toolbar. Do you know if there is a better direct referrel link that allows Firefox3 for Mac and PC to be downloaded?

If so then…. this may be a good thing to push.

Damn, the Google Referral System retires at the end of august.

Referring to Firefox has been an easy, steady and totally passive income for me :(

I own a firefox site and with the firefox3 we had over 8k unique viitors last week and when it came out for few days 25k uniques daily… they dont pay you $1 per download- if that was the case I would have retired by now… you get anywhere from $0.15 to $0.35 per download…
