It's for XP, I found it through google. (But I'm using vista myself, lol)

You can still get into the appearance window by right clicking on desktop -> personalize -> windows color and appearance -> click on "open class appearance properties for more color options". -> Effects button. ;)

Is this for Windows XP or Vista, or both? I can't seem to do this using Windows Vista. I found this article for XP:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306527

I can't seem to find anything that applies for Windows Vista. The only way I know how to show ClearType on Vista is the Performance Options menu to choose either, "Let Windows choose what's best for my <strike>child</strike> computer", or, "Adjust for best appearance", as shown in the image below:

I have since made this adjustment, but it kind of bothers me now because I always choose "Adjust for best performance" because Windows Vista is a piece of shit and operates much slower when you make the OS look all pretty with the bells and whistles. I also keep my theme / desktop very bare and use the Standards Windows 98 Theme. lol

If you have a windows PC, you can enable cleartype to do this on all programs (display settings -> appearance tab -> Effects button -> select 'ClearType' in the drop-down box). It will affect your whole system though. As far as I know, there is no plugin to do this only in firefox.

I don't know how this works if you have another OS.
