I know this post is several months old, but I’ve noticed you no longer practice this trick on your site.

Is there a reason you gave it up?

I’m considering implementing this on my site, but I’m wondering if there was something wrong that mad you change your mind.

K-Inthehouse has a really good point. I know that it’s happened to me on this blog. I tried searching for one of your past articles that I wanted to reread and all I kept getting was pages of adsense links so I gave up. I’m not sure if you’ve made changes since then, but is there an easy way to see a list of all your previous articles?

Otherwise Garry, it’s a great idea.

Garry, nice trick and I would love to implement this. I would like to hear your thoughts on this though.

By removing the navigation links in search.php, wouldn’t we take away usability from our regular readers who may be searching for stuff? Not to mention, pissing them off with lots of ads.

How do you suggest using these search urls so that they become indexable permalinks? Inside our posts? Again wouldn’t that be distracting for regular readers?

I can see you have figured out how to monetize this WordPress’s hidden feature. I just can’t get my brain around it! Dude, help me out please.

Some sites like swik.net did this trick really successful. And they got keywords from del.icio.us – the ultimate source of keywords.

Collin, email sent… this is not a plugin. This is a way to edit your search.php file and make it more… ah’ money friendly!

If you need help, feel free to comment. I forgot to mention to everyone, please make a back up copy of your search.php file before making any changes, that way if you screw up, you can always just upload the original.
