Would You Walk A Mile For An Adsense Click?

Free Web Designs

Sit back in your chair for a second, get your hands off the keyboard and just take one moment to relax and think…

home-office

“Are you doing everything you can to make money online?”

Ok! Great… you have three laptops, two desktops, a fax machine, printer, scanner and a phone. You have an online business… it’s launched… you’re off! Bla… Bla… Bla…

But…. there seems to be a problem: You’re not making any money!

Seriously, the dot Com world isn’t much different than the typical brick and mortar business world. Depending on what you do online, I would almost guarantee that there is a mirror image “Offline” version of your business or business attempt.

Here is a little “Pulse Check” that will help you with your online venture. I attribute my success to keeping things simple and putting myself in the shoes of the people that I target whom make me money. Doing the same should help you too.

Lets look at Google Adsense: Ok… Good ol’ Adsense. Honestly… this has to be the easiest way to make money online. Seriously! Of all the ways you can make money online, Adsense is #1. Why? Because you don’t have to sell anything!

It was just yesterday, when some older man… out of breath came knocking on my door trying to sell me Gutter Guard. I said no of course, but it got me to thinking, “Man, this guy who is about 50 years old, is busting his ass trying to sell Gutter Guard for a commission. God knows how many miles he has walked today, going door to door… this dude looks likes he about to kick the bucket!” Naturally, I had to decline his offer but I did offer him a glass of water to drink while he talked to me and then a can of cold Pepsi to take with him. He accepted both.

Now… lets compare this situation to a dot Com scenario. The older and out of breath Gutter Guard guy handed me a brochure about Gutter Guard. I accepted it and read it…

That’s a CLICK! Handing me a brochure is no different that getting an Adsense CLICK! Only difference is he had to walk countess miles for the clicks and he didn’t get paid for a single one… unless of course that CLICK converted into a SALE.

If you want to be successful with Google Adsense, you need to focus on leading your horse to water… from there, its up to the horse to drink… 9 out of 10 times… that horse will drink.

If you lead the right group of people to your website that is monetized with Google Adsense, 9 out of 10 people will click your ads.

Google Adsense is simple… easy… and very profitable. You as the Adsense participant need to step back and put yourself into the shoes of the people you are targeting. You need to think like the niche you market, you need to be the niche that you market.

I was going to include some more tips about affiliate marketing… but I am going to save that for another day. I am learning that it is best to keep my articles shorter than longer. People don’t like long novels… and as it stands, this article is already too long.

Enjoy… have fun… make money!!! Google Adsense is very profitable…

I like your analogy, Garry. That makes perfect sense. :)

Thanks man… the other angle I was going to hit on but decided to save it for another article is the fact that the guy is “selling only Gutter Guard”. He didn’t ring my bell and flood me with a million and one different products.

So the same applies online. Pick a few products to promote and sell and own it. That same old guy could easily be known in the blogosphere as GutterGuy and he blogs just like you and I, but he promotes Gutter Guard. On his blog, he doesn’t over saturate it with a million things to click on… he doesn’t overwhelm his viewers… he closely and carefully designs his blog to control the flow of traffic that all leads up to “learning more about Gutter Guard”.

It doesn’t matter if you have 1 visitor per day or 100… if you closely target your niche and closely control how you lead people to your site as well as lead people within your site… you will make sales. Naturally, the more people that visit your site per day the more you sell. All in all… its a shit load easier than walking door to door. :)

Cool article. I hope that poor guy made it through the day.

I’m excited to see the next article you’ve got in mind.

Sorry to cut this one off… I am challenged with trying to keep my articles short and sweet. ShoeMoney, quite honestly has an amazing style of illustrating his point in less than 200 words. You can learn a lot over there… The first time I visited his blog, that fact just jumped out to me. I read a ton of blogs, and I don’t have the time to read novels, if I did, I would hang out an Barnes & Noble. :)

Next article coming soon! Stay tuned… :)

Yes, you’re right – Adsense is the easiest way to make money online.

What if we figure out where the thirsty horses are, Garry, and then bring the bucket of water near them? :-)

11 Garry Conn { 10.15.07 at 8:44 am }

Manuel,

lol!! Yes indeed… its best just to have buckets and buckets of water… lead the horses to the buckets (Your Blog) and also have buckets standing by to deliver to them (RSS Subscription / Email Notify). :)

I’ve been noticing this lately. The more stuff I get indexed with Google, the more it pays off…….6 months later. So yeah, my hard work is paying off eventually, just not right away. Thats okay though, its income that doesn’t involve any more work.

I agree, but a shop with less customer is a sign of trouble, the same goes to a site or blog without or less traffic is a sign of not making money from adsense. The utmost important is how to get more traffic to your site.

I think it matters what you are selling. We had a door to door sales man come in to give us a demo of an air purifier for a week. Great product, really made the air smell nice. When he came back he had options on different versions, all different varieties. It was kind of over whelming. He came back AGAIN and had even more products and started trying to sell us stuff that was totally unrelated, such as energy bars and vitamins. Have not seen him much lately.

If your going to sell something, stick to it and sell it well.

Adsense still does not earn much for me but like others said as time wears on and Google supplies more of my posts to people then my impressions are growing at least. Soon clicks will start happening I really hope!
